In 1938, the county constable Lajos Zsóry allowed compa-nies to prospect for oil on his family estate. Once again, it was thermal waters and not oil that gushed forth. As the Ministry of Industry was not interested in exploiting this natural resource, Zsóry decided to launch a private venture: he had a thermal bath built on the spot, the first 35x18m pool of which opened in 1940. The thermal water, springing from the deep karst layers of the Bükk, has been used to treat locomotor disorders, gynaecological problems, and is employed in the post treatment for orthopedic surgery. Other services include massage, weight bath, tub bath, hydromassage, mud bath, manicure, sauna and solarium.
There are open-air and indoor medical pools and wave pools in the garden park, waiting to serve their guests.
